Head Start Collaboration Office
Minnesota's Head Start Collaboration Office facilitates partnerships between Head Start agencies and other state, territorial or Tribal entities that provide services to benefit children from families with low incomes.
About the office
The Head Start Collaboration Office (HSCO) contributes to state systems for early care and education, which coordinate and regulate various services for children from birth to age 5 and their families. It is designed to increase the effectiveness of early childhood services by linking young children and their families to the support they need. The Minnesota HSCO is located at the Department of Children, Youth, and Families in the Early Learning Services Division. The HSCO director partners with Minnesota's Early Childhood Family Education, School Readiness, Voluntary Prekindergarten, child care and Early Childhood Screening programs, as well as Early Childhood Special Education Part B/619 and Part C Early Intervention Services.
The Minnesota Head Start Association and the Office of Head Start are key partners in setting and implementing priorities and direction for the HSCO. The HSCO director serves as liaison with these partners. Please email HeadStart.DCYF@state.mn.us with questions.
