Have you taken a cooking class, gardened with your community or school, participated in a physical activity session, or learned something new about food and nutrition at a farmer’s market? Have you seen billboards promoting healthy foods and activities, or signage at your grocery store? Have you received recipes or educational materials brought home by your kids? Or have you participated in community conversations around wellness that offered cooking demos, outdoor activities, or simply a safe space to share stories?
You may have engaged with SNAP-Education through talking groups, coordinated community events, or programs like Super Shelf that improve healthy food access and visibility in stores. These activities are often led by health and wellness coordinators, nutrition outreach specialists or early care and education partners who support families through many venues, events, and public spaces.
As SNAP-Education is set to no longer receive federal funding, we want to honor the meaningful work and lasting impact it has had across the state.
Your experience can help highlight what has been accomplished and show the value of programs that support healthier families and communities.
