The Market Rate Survey is coming!
The Department of Children, Youth and Families is conducting the Market Rate Survey on all licensed child care providers in Minnesota to collect important information on child care costs. Collected information, especially child care rate data, is essential for setting the Child Care Assistance Program reimbursement rates. Past data collected in this survey was used to set the new reimbursement rates at the 75th percentile, resulting in significant CCAP rate increases for most providers. It’s crucial we hear your voice!
Providers can also share their rate information on ParentAware.org. Focus groups with families have that they lean towards providers who list their pricing:
“I found the search process overwhelming because so many places didn’t list pricing, and I didn’t want to waste time calling.”
“The biggest frustration in my child care search was providers not providing tuition or cost…including what’s included in the tuition.”
Participate today by logging in to your Parent Aware Provider Update Tool and taking the Market Rate Survey.
