Intro

Restorative Practices are approaches that focus on repairing harm, strengthening relationships, and building community through dialogue, accountability, and healing.

Working alongside communities, the Office of Restorative Practices (OPR) strengthens solutions that already exist to repair harm, rebuild trust, and help Minnesota's children, youth, and families thrive.

OPR advances the use of restorative practices across a range of partnerships with community partners and systems, including pretrial diversion programs, delinquency and criminal justice, child welfare, education, and community violence prevention.

The focus is on creating safe, supportive spaces where people feel heard, relationships are valued, and healing is possible.  Working in partnership with schools, community programs, and system leaders we ensure restorative practices are made available and supported across Minnesota.
