How to report
If a child is in immediate danger, call 911. If the child is not in immediate danger:
- Licensed or certified child care centers: Call the DCYF Intake Unit at 651-539-8222.
- Family child care: Call the licensing agency in the county or Tribal Nation where the child lives.
What to report
Use the numbers above to report concerns in a child care setting related to:
- Suspected maltreatment, abuse, or neglect
- Licensing violations
- Concerns about health or safety of children in the program, including:
- Supervision
- Staff ratios and group size
- Allergy prevention/response
- Cleanliness of the facility

Other reports
To report suspected abuse, neglect or maltreatment occurring outside of a child care program, call the child protection agency in the county or Tribal Nation where the child lives.
