Help Me Grow Minnesota connects families with early childhood special education services for their infants, toddlers and young children through their school district or cooperative. These services provide parents and caregivers with valuable support, resources and strategies to help children from birth to age 5 learn and grow.

Every Minnesota family and their young children can use Help Me Grow Minnesota and its resources. A referral can be made at any time, and the local school district or cooperative will contact the family to discuss next steps and determine eligibility.

Help Me Grow provides resources for families to understand development and a connection to support if they have concerns about their baby or young child. This helps families take the lead in seeking additional support or referring their child for a comprehensive, confidential screening or evaluation at no cost.

Sections of the website are currently translated in Hmong, Spanish and Somali. Interpreters are also available.

Are you concerned about your child's development?

The referral form is also available in Hmong, Somali and Spanish.

Specially trained school staff from your local district or cooperative will then contact you to talk about options, which may include an evaluation for eligibility based on your child's age and needs. Services are free for every eligible child.
