What to report

If a child is in immediate danger, call 911. If the child is not in immediate danger, use the numbers below to reach the appropriate agency.

Suspected maltreatment, abuse, or neglect 

Health or safety concerns

Mandated reporters 

Child care providers and center staff are required to report suspected child abuse or neglect. DCYF provides resources for mandated reporters and information about maltreatment investigations

Other reports

To report suspected abuse, neglect or maltreatment occurring outside of a child care program, call the child protection agency in the county or Tribal Nation where the child lives.
