Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program - Education

Intro

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program-Education (SNAP-Ed) works to improve the likelihood that people eligible for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits will choose nutritious food and be physically active.

Funding for the program is allocated to the Minnesota Office of Economic Opportunity for SNAP-Ed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture to cover costs associated with administration and program delivery. DCYF, OEO distributes funds to nine contracted grantees, including eight Tribal Nation Grantees, across the state to deliver SNAP-Ed programming.
