Intro

DCYF is responsible for certifying and monitoring license-exempt child care centers that participate in the Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP). Certification helps keep children safe and healthy by making sure providers meet basic standards for care and a safe physical environment.

Get ready for summer: Many certified centers experience seasonal changes during the transition from the school year to summer, including changes in location and operating hours. All changes require a Change Request approved by your licensor. Learn more about how to prepare for summer changes.
