SUN Bucks Notice of Expungement

Intro

Mailed letters, emails and direct text messages have been sent to families with children who were mailed a SUN Bucks card to let them know that they have a remaining balance, and that these benefits are expiring soon.

SUN Bucks benefits are available to be used for 122 days, including the day they were made available in the account.

After 122 days, any unused benefit amount expires and is expunged from the account. This means that on day 123, there will be a $0 balance in the account. Benefits cannot be replaced if lost, stolen or expired. Expunged benefits cannot be appealed. Please visit www.ebtedge.com or call ebtEDGE customer service at 888-997-2227 for the child’s specific benefit availability date.

Receiving the card

If you received a message that your child’s card will expire soon and benefits will be expunged, but you have not received your child’s SUN Bucks card, please complete the Help Form. If the card is lost or stolen, you can request that a new card be sent by contacting Edge. The card will arrive in a plain envelope addressed to the child. Make sure your child’s name is on your mailbox. The post office might not deliver if your child is not a known resident at the address.

How to use your child’s SUN Bucks benefits

After receiving your SUN Bucks card, please visit www.ebtedge.com to check your benefit account using the mobile app or call ebtEDGE customer service at 888-997-2227 to set up your PIN. You can also download the EBT Edge app. Make sure to use the remaining funds right away. You are expected to reuse this card each year that your child is eligible, so please keep it in a safe place after all benefits have been used or expired. SUN Bucks benefits can be used at grocery stores, farmers markets and other authorized retailers.
