Technology and System Modernization

Intro

We are improving technology and systems to better support state program and delivery partners. These projects enhance Minnesotan's access to vital services, reduce staff's administrative burdens, and support equitable outcomes by ensuring that all Minnesotans can navigate and benefit from programs with dignity and ease.

We are building a better Child Welfare Information System to make it easier to use, improve data quality, make information sharing easier, and save caseworkers' time.
DCYF Modernization Updates

Building Better Tools for Our Work Together

The Department of Children, Families, and Youth (DCYF) is making updates to the Social Service Information System (SSIS) Time Entry and Contact/Activity tool. This system is an important tool that staff use to write case notes, track their time, and share important information.

Time Entry Transformation Web App Launch

Stearns County began piloting a new web-based time entry application on September 10, marking a major step forward in modernizing how workers log their hours. Designed to streamline time tracking and improve integration with existing tools, including the SSIS desktop platform and backend databases, the new system is already earning praise from early users.
