Food Support
The Office of Economic Opportunity administers food support programs in food shelves, Tribal food programs, on-site meal programs, and shelters. Programs include The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) and Minnesota Food Shelf Program (MFSP).

Food Shelf Facilities Capital Grant
The Food Shelf Facilities Capital Grant supports capital investments such as designing, acquisition, or renovation of emergency food distribution facilities across the state.

Prepared Meals Funding
The Prepared Meals Food Relief Grant provides hunger relief to Minnesotans experiencing food insecurity and who have difficulty preparing meals due to limited mobility, disability, age, or limited resources to prepare their own meal.

The program works to improve the likelihood that people eligible for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits will choose nutritious food and be physically active.

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program - Outreach
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Outreach helps to connect households in need of food assistance with SNAP benefits. The Minnesota Office of Economic Opportunity provides oversight of the SNAP Outreach program and partners with hunger relief organizations that deliver services in communities across Minnesota.
American Indian Food Sovereignty
American Indian Food Sovereignty
American Indian Food Sovereignty Funding Program provides grants to improve food access and build food security systems in Tribal Nations and American Indian communities. The Minnesota Office of Economic Opportunity distributes these funds to Tribal Nations in Minnesota and to non-profit organizations serving American Indian communities.

Community Action Funding
Community Action funding focuses local, state, private and federal resources to support families and individuals with low incomes to attain the skills, knowledge and motivation to become economically secure. Community Action is funded by a combination of State (Minnesota Community Action Grant and Federal (Community Services Block Grant) funding.
Diaper Dist 1
Diaper Distribution Grant
The Diaper distribution Grant Program provides diapers to under-resourced families statewide and is administered by the Diaper Bank of Minnesota. There are over 36 distribution partners that participate in the program and distribute diapers to families in need.
FAIM
Family Assets for Independence in Minnesota
Family Assets for Independence in Minnesota (FAIM) is a matched savings program designed to help low-income working Minnesotans escape poverty and build financial security. Participants save their wages toward specific life-enhancing goals, such as purchasing a first home, pursuing higher education, starting or expanding a small business, or buying a personal vehicle.
